Gun, Chinese throwing star and 10 cell phones seized in Whitman drug raid

What do 10 cell phones, an aerosol can with a false bottom and a Chinese throwing star have in common?

They were all items seized by police from a Whitman apartment during a January drug raid.

John Monahan, 30, of Whitman, and his live-in girlfriend, Amanda Flores, 25, formerly of East Bridgewater, were arrested Jan. 7 when a team of officers from the WEB Major Crime and Drug Task Force and the Southeastern Mass. Law Enforcement Tactical team executed a search warrant at 16 Legion Parkway in Whitman.

The search warrant, recently obtained by The Enterprise, details the 39 items seized in the raid.

Detectives found 84 oxycodone pills, marijuana and nine other pills that included Amoxicillin and Levaquin, both antibiotics.

The items also included a loaded Glock 9mm handgun, an empty .22-caliber magazine, holster and Chinese throwing star, according to the inventory.

Police seized 10 cell phones, televisions, a surveillance camera and three remotes.

The inventory also includes sandwich bags, an aerosol can with a false bottom, digital scale, lap-top computer and iPad.

Monahan and Flores are due in Brockton District Court for probable cause hearings on March 6.
